3DOM Digital Agency is on the hunt for an ambitious WordPress Developer / Designer who is passionate about web development and keen to learn. The role requires a WordPress junior, who can create custom themes & plugins from scratch if there’s not one there that fits the requirements.

The role will involve working alongside the website project team to deliver hard-working and creative websites for clients in a rage of industries. Clients range from start-ups, to internationally recognised brands.

Work with a huge variety of clients, some small and some at an enterprise level. 3DOM Digital Agency clients are also very diverse in terms of what we offer and cater for a vast market and niches. You’ll be working with a small but dedicated team which will become like family. You will also have access to some external resources and teams. While this opportunity is junior to mid-level, there is scope for the right candidate to grow quickly and become a lead player in this company after 2 to 4 years.

Key Responsibilities

Utilising a variety of markup languages to develop pixel-perfect, responsive web pages. Ensuring web development is optimized for smartphones. Building reusable code for future use. Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability. Create documentation outlining processes and/or offering advice on how to go about tackling certain issues for clients and other team members. Snagging and testing websites to ensure they adhere to our high standards.

Key Requirements

Strong in HTML, SCSS

JavaScript, and jQuery (specific use below)

• Sticky headers and footers
• Carousels and sliders via JS plugin (Slick for example)
• Bits of Javascript / AJAX such as custom post filters
• General click functions for things such as accordions.

Strong PHP to render WordPress websites. Experience with custom post types, and Advanced Custom Fields plugin. Knowledge of Theme builders. Experience with WordPress. Experience with website hosting. Experience with responsive and adaptive design. Understanding of SEO principles. Good problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.

What you need to bring to the table:

Demonstrable portfolio of WordPress website builds, including WooCommerce Minimum 3 years of agency experience as a WordPress developer. Positive, ambitious and collaborative team player. Ability to turn insight into action Inquisitive, questioning and good at seeing things through! Driven to progress your knowledge and career.
